Job Title: Software Developer

Job Duties:

Marvelous Technologies, Inc. in Gurnee, IL is seeking Software Developers. Individuals will apply advanced theoretical knowledge of Computer Science Principles and concepts to perform the following duties and responsibilities..

1. Oversee the development and implementation of software applications end to end on a company wide basis.
2. Independently handle gathering and analyzing business requirements to convert into technical solutions.
3. Work collaboratively with developers to prepare solution roadmaps and design documents.
4. Design, develop, and test scalable software applications using various tools and technologies.
5. Plan and schedule software development projects with proper dependencies.
6. Analyze proposed and existing systems; perform impact analysis and defects analysis and propose technical proposals and solutions.
7. Deploy code across different environments following Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) through version control tool, CMAN and RTM.
8. Develop and provide status reports of the projects to management and on an as needed basis.
9. Work on process improvements to achieve performance improvement and client savings.
10. Provide references and documentation to end users.

Minimum Requirements:

The normal requirements for the offered position are as follows:

Masters Degree in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Computer Information Systems, Computer Programming, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electronics or Electrical Engineering, or any related field of study, plus three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in any related position(s).

In lieu of the above-stated primary education and experience requirements, employer will accept a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Computer Information Systems, Computer Programming, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electronics or Electrical Engineering, or any related field of study, plus five (5) years of post-degree, progressively responsible experience in the job offered or in any related position(s).

Qualified applicants must also have demonstrable proficiency, skill, experience and knowledge with the following:

Mainframe, COBOL, Version Control Tool
SQL, JCL, CICS, CMAN, RTM
DFSORT, SAS, REXX
DB2 Database
Oracle Database, JAVA, Salesforce

No Travel or Telecommuting. Job duties are project based and performed at various unanticipated worksites in the U.S. that may require relocation at the end of each long-term project.
