Quality Assurance Analyst
Position Title: Quality Assurance Analyst
Position Summary:
Quality Assurance Analyst will be instrumental in maintaining a close partnership with business and development teams to analyze product requirements and testing needs to create and execute a comprehensive test strategy including both functional and technical/system-level testing Designs, develops, and defines test cases, test plans, and scope based on the specification requirements of the end user to ensure quality and performance outcomes. Incorporates system, regression, and quality performance levels through use of a consistent testing methodology.
Design, implement, and execute automation scriptsand analyzes outcome to ensure new and updated applications meet or exceed quality standards and user requirements before released to a production environment.
Ensure that test automation artifacts are of a quality that can support immediate and long-term testing objectives; testing productivity, test repeatability, error recreation, and reduced test time.
Ensures the product is usable, reliable, and valid to support the needs of the end user.
Identifies and reports testing results to ensure functionality, quality, and quantity standards are met. Collaborates with development team and manger to determine appropriate solutions and retests corrections to ensure problems are resolved.
Documents status of testing per industry and organizational standard methodologies to ensure highest quality results and replication. Logs, tracks, and verifies resolution of software and specific defects against user criteria.
Participates and contributes in all assigned meetings and collaboration efforts to ensure highest probability of success for team. May occasionally lead meetings.
Gathers metrics and data for measurement of software development processes, identifies gaps, and contributes to solutions. Identifies risks and determines best way to minimize its effects through information and facts gathered.
Job Duties:
• Collect, consolidate and review the detailed business and technical requirements from clients .
• Develop high level test design and planning documentation.
• Define the Test Strategies and Test Plans for Manual and Automation testing .
• Develop and Execute testing for diverse projects to successfully and consistently deliver high-quality software products and services on time, on budget and to Specification..
• Create and Maintain Test Automation Suites.
• To Create the Test Automation Suites and scripts, Testing Tools Like Selenium Webdriver, UFT/QTP are used.
• Maintain the test cases and test data in the test management tools like ALM, JIRA, Sharepoint, Confluence etc.
• Test and execute the test cases.
• Report defects through defect management tool(s) like JIRA, Mantis.
• Perform Regression Testing and Retesting.
• Ensure the product is developed to meet company’s quality standard.
• Provide high-quality and timely deliverables.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science or a closely related field.
